Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how to manage pulmonary hypertension in the inpatient and outpatient settings;

  • Describe how to manage the advanced heart failure patient in the outpatient setting;

  • Identify the current diagnostic and management strategies for the common and uncommon cardiomyopathies;

  • Discuss the utilization of genetic testing in the identification and management of heart failure patients;

  • Discuss the latest scientific evidence and guidelines in acute mechanical circulatory support and cardiac transplantation;

  • Identify strategies for the optimal care of post-transplant patients using evidence-based guidelines;

  • State current practice strategies of advanced practice providers in the care of heart failure patients.

American Board of Internal Medicine MOC Part II Credit

It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
